About FindGov
Site Status (Under Construction)
FindGov is still actively under development.
We are continuously adding new guides, improving accuracy, and refining how information is presented. Updates and improvements are made regularly behind the scenes as we expand coverage and improve clarity across the site.

Why This Exists
Government websites can be confusing. Important data is often buried in complex interfaces with lots of jargon.
FindGov makes it easier to find and use official government websites. We provide plain-English guides that show you exactly what you can do and how to do it.
Our Mission
We believe government transparency tools should be accessible to everyone—not just researchers and journalists.
Our goal is to help everyday Americans:
- Track how tax dollars are spent
- Access crime and safety data
- Understand campaign finance
- Find benefits they may qualify for
Official Sources Only
We only link to official .gov websites. We never host government data ourselves.
This means you're always getting information directly from the source—the U.S. government.
Not Affiliated with Government
FindGov is an independent project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or part of any government agency.
